Overview

The Environmental Health program of the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University is under the umbrella of Environmental Health Department, College of Public Health. The program aims to qualify national cadres specialized in the field of environment in various disciplines. The program offers a Master's degree in the following two specialties:

MEH in Occupational Hygiene

MEH in Environmental Management

Program System

The program is conducted through courses and a thesis.

Objectives of MEH:

At the completion of the MEH degree, the student will be:

Fully oriented with all environmental health fields.

Able to identify local and international environmental issues which are related to health and wellbeing.

Able to deal with the missions that require problem-solving capabilities for various integral components of environment.

Able to follow different environmental laws and ethics at the workplace.

General requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Medical, Engineering, Science or any Environmental specialties from any university recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of the KSA

GPA must not be less than 3.25 out of 5

Minimum of 5.0 in IELTS score or equivalent of other acceptable English language tests

Two recommendation letters

A minimum of two years of work experience in the field of health or environmental disciplines is preferred

Applicant must pass a personal interview or any other examination that the college deems necessary

Applicant must submit evidence of tuition fee payment for at least one semester. (twenty-five thousand Saudi Riyal for each semester and total of one hundred thousand for the whole master program)

Applicants have the right to choose their specialization (Industrial hygiene/ Environmental Management) and have one chance to change the specialty during the study course within the first semester

Work experience

A minimum of two years of work experience in the field of health or environmental disciplines is preferred
