Welcome to the Centre for Political Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University offers degrees both at the Masters and the Doctorate levels.

Key facts

It represents all the major streams of Political Science as a discipline, including Political Theory, Philosophy and Thought, Indian Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Public Administration. The courses taught at the Masters level equip the students with various ideas, concepts, analytical tools and approaches to the discipline. By the end of the last semester, students are in a position to choose a career based on their Masters training and/or develop an interest to pursue research on a topic or theme in a particular stream of the discipline.
