Overview

The Centre at Jawaharlal Nehru University offers two-year M. Phil programme in Russian and Central Asian Studies and an integrated six-year M.Phil/Ph.D programme.

It also admits students who have already completed M.Phil to Direct Ph.D Programme (four years). Besides these, the Centre offers specialised courses for M.A. programme in the School of International Studies.

Key Features

Students after successfully completing the entrance test and viva voce could join the M.Phil. programme of the Centre. The course-work involves 18 credits (6 compulsory, core and optional courses) to be completed in three semesters.

One more semester is allowed for writing the dissertation on a topic decided by the student in consultation with the supervisor allotted by the Centre.
