Overview
Residents learn how to work with current literature, analyze medical information, and relate the theoretical knowledge gained to their practical clinical experience.
Program goal
An Urology program from Novosibirsk State University is designed to prepare qualified, trained medical specialists in urology. They will have the ability to work autonomously in a specialized area of medicine, including high-technology medical care. The education will provide trainees with an excellent and broad background in fundamental medical science and with the professional, technical and clinical skills necessary in their field. The trainees will also acquire in-depth knowledge of related disciplines.
Career opportunities
Residency graduates are highly qualified professionals who can work as urology specialists in public or private medical institutions, as well as successfully conduct scientific research.
Programme Structure
Research activity
- Residents and faculty meet two times a month to review the latest clinical and basic science research articles, gain insight into ongoing research activities within the Department, and look for answers to clinical questions.
- Each resident has a theme for their clinical research work and reports their results four times a year. Several times a year, residents review interesting cases from their consultation services to their peers. Complex medical cases are presented with a pathology review.
