Degree requirements
The Visual Arts Education program from University of Malaya includes Forty Five (45) credit hours which includes Nine (9) credit hours for core courses, Six (6) credit hours for selected courses and Thirty (30) credit hours for the dissertation

- A Bachelor of Islamic Education degree with a CGPA of at least 3.00 (final year students with CGPA 3.0 are included in this requirement)
- A Bachelor of Islamic Studies with a CGPA of at least 3.00 or equivalent degree
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education with a CGPA of 3.00
- A teaching qualification at least 1 year and recognised by the University
- Teaching experience with an institution recognised by the Senate
- A professional qualification from a recognised professional body
- A qualification approved by the Senate from time to time
- English language proficiency
