Overview
The Genetics at Jilin University mainly focused on the association studies of human common metabolic diseases, bioinformatics tools development, the study of the molecular mechanism of diabetes, tumor cells and neutrophil migration, the study of the anti-osteoporosis and anti-oxidative stress effects of natural medicine compounds by network pharmacology methods and cell models, the comprehensive study on the potential role of tumor genesis based on data mining and bioinformatics, the study of chromosome karyotype in abnormal pregnancy and genetic counseling.
Key facts
In the past ten years, there are more than 7 million yuan of research funds received from various grants, including Natural Science Foundation Projects, National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), and Projects of Science and Technology Department and Health Department of Jilin Province. We have published more than 100 scientific research papers which includes more than 30 SCI papers. We have also succeeded in obtaining 6 patents and won 2 third prize of Jilin Science and Technology Progress Award . The department has 2 doctoral supervisors and 4 master’s degree supervisors, and has cultivated more than 60 graduate students.Programme Structure
