Overview

The Pathogenic Organisms at Jilin University was awarded the National Team for Teaching Excellence. The pathology course conducted by the department was approved as the national excellent courses in 2006, became the national level top quality resource sharing course and the national level top quality open video course in 2012 and the first national level top quality open online course (the gold standard online course) in 2017. Our team was the editor-in-chief for the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth editions of National Textbook of Pathology.

Key facts

There are 29 researchers in our research department, 20 of them are professors and associate professors, 9 are Ph.D. supervisors. Professor Li Yulin, the academic leader of the department is a national eminent teacher and won the Outstanding Contribution Award of China Higher Medical Education in 2014.The laboratory is about 2000 square meters in size, including experimental classroom, teaching preparation room, specimen preparation room, specimen storage room, research room, archival materials and library management room, multi-function room, etc. It is a large-scale comprehensive department which integrates teaching, scientific research and international collaboration projects. The motto of our department is “Cultivate people through morality and continue to innovate and develop”. With the of aim to serve the nation and to meet social demand, we shall build a first-class pathology discipline in China based on talent training and we are driven by scientific creation and innovation.
