Overview
Political Communication from University of Gothenburg combine theory and application. Thus, you will develop competences including strategic communication, crisis communication, and opinion analysis. You will explore various ways of understanding political communication including cultural and critical perspectives.
Quick Facts:
- For the selection we require a CV + a Letter of Intent of maximum 500 words each for the two documents (if this limit is exceeded the applications will be disqualified). The CV should give an overview of your academic and employment history. Since students individual writing skills and advanced analytical abilities are cornerstones of the Master's Programme in Political Communication, the CV should include an account of previous experience of writing a thesis (for example a Bachelor's thesis). If you have written a Bachelor's and/or Master's thesis, please provide the title of the thesis, and brief information about the topic and the method used.
- The purpose of the Master's Programme is to prepare you for professional work within the field of political communication, but also for research in the field.
- Graduates of the programme receive the degree Master of Science in Media and Communication with specialization in Political communication, 120 hec.
