Overview
Sports Ethics and Integrity from Charles University is based on strong theoretical foundations and the development of core competencies needed to develop sports integrity expertise. Scholars are equipped to identify ethical issues, engage in critical ethical thinking, and translate decisions into ethical actions at the highest level of sports governance and administration.
Careers
The study programme produces graduates who will be capable of assuming the role of Sports Ethics and Integrity officials in local, national and international sports organizations.The study programme MA in Sports Ethics and Integrity has been designed by a consortium that has wide industry/stakeholder links including National Anti-Doping Organizations, World Anti-Doping Agency, national sports federations, international sports federations, and the European Program for Adapted Physical Activity, International Centre for Sports Security, International Paralympic Committee.
Programme Structure
Courses include:
- Sport as a Social Practice
- The Nature of Sports Ethics and Ethical Theories
- Deontological, consequentialist and virtue ethical theories;
- Conventionalist, formalist and internalist theories of sport;
- Key issues such as athletes’ rights, fair play and officiating, homophobia, transgender eligibility.
- Ethics of Anti-doping policy and practice
- Research Methods, Knowledge and Competencies

- To be eligible for the interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Sports Ethics and Integrity, you must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from any discipline.
- You should have a good command of both spoken and written English.
- Fill in the application form
- Submit the application form together with all the documents the faculty requires.
