International Business Luleå University of Technology

Overview

During the first International Business semester at Luleå University of Technology, you will study courses specializing in international business and marketing. The whole second semester is reserved for optional courses. For example, you can choose to study abroad at one of our partner universities, or get practical experience by enrolling in a project course at a workplace of your choice. In year two, you will study three additional courses in international business and marketing, as well as a course in e-business which provides insights about how IT development affects companies and business strategies. 

The last semester involves writing your master’s thesis, in which you delve further into a current issue in international business. Several of the courses in the program are conducted in cooperation with companies and organizations in order to provide a direct link to working life. Overall, the education will provide you with useful skills and abilities that are attractive among employers acting on international markets. With a master's degree, you are also eligible for postgraduate studies at the PhD level.

Labour market

Business across national borders has become more important for companies, organizations and authorities. Employers are increasingly looking for co-workers with knowledge in international issues. The many areas of work open to “traditional” business administrators are also open to you, such as marketing, project management, and business development.
