Overview

Being a student in the Information Security programme means engaging in an active search for knowledge, problem solving, and critical analysis based on a scientific approach. The working methods vary between individual study, group work, seminars and lectures. The core courses of the programme provide a socio-technical understanding of the field and related challenges. The programme also includes elective courses through which you can specialise in security management or security engineering according to available courses and depending on your interests.

Within the curriculum of the first year of study, important terms such as information security, applied computer security, internet security, IT-infrastructure security, critical infrastructure protection, and security management, are defined. The first year ends with a project course module.
