Programme Structure

The Materials Physics study programme combines fundamental physics with experimental research and advanced materials science, equipping students with:

problem-solving, critical thinking, scientific communication, and the ability to work independently and in international research teams;

advanced knowledge of solid-state physics, nanomaterials, thin films, spectroscopy, material characterisation, and experimental methods;

experience using modern laboratory equipment and data analysis tools for materials testing, modelling, and research applications;

a mandatory research internship where students conduct experimental work and apply theoretical knowledge in academic or industry laboratories.

This programme accepts OMPT as a mathematics admission test. Depending on your academic background, you may be required to take an OMPT assessment as part of the admission process.

University bachelor degree certificate: Engineering sciences, technologies, mathematical sciences, computer sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, health science, veterinary science, agricultural science or sports.

Proficiency in English

Transcript requirements: Obtain a suitable transcript of your bachelor's degree from your school. If unavailable, provide official translations and verified copies of the original documents.

Accepted languages: English.

Document legalisation: The documents must be legalised (Apostille) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the documents were issued. This requirement does not apply to the documents issued in the EU and Belarus, Ukraine.
