The Master Cooperation and Development at the University of Pavia is full time and is fully taught in English. Following the residential period in Pavia, all the students carry out an internship for a minimum duration of 3 months which can be either a on-the-field experience with one of the partner organization or a research period in an International Institution. As partial fulfilment of the Master requirements, students are required to write a thesis linked to their internship experience or upon a research issue of their interest.
After the residential period spent in Pavia, students carry out an internship for a period from 3 to 6 months. Students intern in the field offices or headquarters of NGOs, International Organizations and Governmental Institutions and have the great opportunity of earning first hand experience by working side by side with professionals of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid.
Every year the Master provides a full list of available opportunities with NGO’s from which students can choose. Beyond this, thanks to the wide network built throughout the years made by former alumni and international experts all over the world , the Master can also facilitates contact with International Organizations.

The Post-Master program in Cooperation and Development, Pavia, Italy, is open every year to 30 students of different nationalities graduated in any major, holding a master degree. Mastery of English is a mandatory requirement, however any language certificate is needed for the application.
