Overview

Thinking about changing your career path to psychology? The Psychological Sciences (Conversion) course from Brunel University London has been tailored to provide you with a firm foundation in the core areas of psychology as defined by the British Psychological Society (BPS). These include biological, cognitive, social, developmental, social psychology, individual differences and statistics and research methods.

Here at Brunel University London, we take pride in our global recognition and involvement in leading-edge research. With growing teaching capabilities made possible through distance learning, we offer this fully online postgraduate programme in the Psychological Sciences to ensure that a bright career path is achievable for anyone, anywhere.  In this programme, you’ll qualify for membership of the BPS – a mark of quality and an essential entry qualification for postgraduate professional training in psychology to practise as a health professional.

A degree offering career-ready skills

An online Psychological Sciences (Conversion) MSc is your first step to  becoming a chartered psychologist if you are a student or working professional from a non-psychology background. This UK-based master's programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which sets the standards for working in clinical psychology. Divided into modules which cover a wide range of topics, you'll develop the practical skills in qualitative research, statistics in psychology, developmental, social, and biological psychology and much more.

Canvas

Without leaving your country or career, you can study fully online with all of the support, resources, and energy of a campus programme. Our academic experts use a wide variety of teaching methods including lectures, seminars and self-directed learning to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience. You’re fully supported throughout the whole degree process including having a personal tutor and receiving one-to-one specialist academic supervision to complete the empirical research project that will demonstrate your depth of knowledge of a specialist area in psychology.

Create a timetable that suits you

Your online master's experience shouldn't be stressful, so we make sure you can learn at your pace. You'll have the option to complete your degree in 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time. This programme offers a flexible format for learning and teaching, including pre-recorded video content, asynchronous activities, and more. You’ll also get the chance to participate in various additional live classes to help build your networking community, participate in small group projects, and learn to problem-solve together.

Your future opportunities

In addition to clinical psychology, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge and expertise attractive to employers in a wide variety of sectors such as media, marketing, HR, law enforcement, finance, government, health and education as well as government and non-governmental agencies, and healthcare organisations
