Overview
The Master in Knowledge-Based Entrepreneurship from the University of Malta is designed to impart knowledge to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) graduates, allowing you to become a successful entrepreneur and launch your own business ventures and to convince financiers to fund your ventures. Following an introduction to Entrepreneurship, you will cover topics in Innovation, Marketing, Strategy, Business Planning, Finance, Risk Management and Performance Management, all focusing on the requirements of entrepreneurs.
A mentored project will allow you to develop a feasibility study on a business of your choice, which leads to a final project consisting of a detailed business plan and funding presentations that can be applied in real life.
Career opportunities and access to further studies
- This course primarily teaches Science, Technology, Engineering and Media graduates how to become entrepreneurs and launch their own, successful business ventures, and convince financiers to finance their ventures.
- The course will also teach intrapreneurs how to launch successful business initiatives within their own organisations and convince top management to fund their proposals and initiatives.

A Bachelor degree from this University with at least Second Class (Honours) or Category II in the areas of Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Media, Communications, and the Humanities, or in any other area which the Board deems as appropriate.
- Applicants in possession of a Bachelor degree from this University with Third Class Honours or Category III in the disciplines highlighted in the above paragraph may apply if they are also in possession of other qualifications or at least five years of relevant work experience, obtained following the first cycle degree.
