Overview
Students in the M.A. in Global Maritime Archaeology from the University of Malta is especially concerned with human interaction with the sea and other bodies of water, including submerged landscapes and associated physical remains.
You will analyse past archaeological reports on complete excavations in the Mediterranean as well as apply post-excavation methods and laboratory techniques to acquire data on maritime heritage.
The programme encourages hands-on fieldwork and trains you to characterise and prescribe in-situ conservation techniques to various cultural artefacts situated on the seabed. It will ultimately prepare you to organise exhibitions to submit your findings and detailed reports.
