Overview

The Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) course at Manchester Metropolitan University helps you to integrate physiotherapy theory with practice and to develop your skills in critical thinking. Some of the topics you'll study include the structure and function of the nervous system, cardiorespiratory system and musculoskeletal system. You’ll consider issues such as health inequalities, the legal and policy frameworks governing physiotherapy practice in the UK, and integrated care. 

A career as unique as you

As graduates from our course usually begin their physiotherapy careers by working as band 5 physiotherapists, on rotation positions in NHS hospitals. However, as a Chartered Physiotherapist,, you could work in the NHS or the private sector. Examples include hospitals, sports clubs, the community, care homes and schools.
