The Marine Microbiology programme offered by the University of Bremen is unique: we educate a new generation of marine scientists, and provide them with the tools to better understand microbial life and the matter in which it affects our biosphere. MarMic students are trained to think globally and to choose from both holistic and reductionistic research approaches.
The main occupational activities of our graduates are found at Universities, administration (authorities, politics), industry, medicine, consulting companies, associations, environmental organizations, and in further education.
