Overview

Register for the Master in Human Rights at University of Johannesburg, Faculty of Law, which offers the following outstanding elements: 

• PROGRESSIVE: The LLM examines the most current developments on human rights in Africa and around the world 

• GLOBAL: The LLM will examine human rights in a global context and consider international law and comparative jurisdictions 

• TRANSFORMATIVE: The LLM will consider the way in which human rights in South Africa are designed to transform our society. 

• FACULTY: The course is run by Professor Bilchitz who runs a leading research institute on constitutional law and human rights (SAIFAC) and is Secretary-General of the International Association of Constitutional Law. It will also expose students to a range of guest lecturers, from judges to practitioners. 

• LOCATION: The lectures will take place on the historic Constitution Hill which itself represents a bridge from a past of repression and inequality to a future of social justice, freedom and equality.
