The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University occupies a unique position as a leader in health enhancement, disease prevention and human performance.

Overview

The School is located at 28 Division Street which is equipped with 8 state-of-the art main laboratory areas, dedicated study spaces for all graduate students, undergraduate and graduate lounge areas, computer lab, teaching theatres and classrooms, faculty member, adjunct, and postdoctoral fellow offices, IT suite, and administrative suite.

The School from Queen's University is dedicated to strengthening and extending its place as an innovative leader in the development, advancement, and delivery of academic and professional programs related to kinesiology, physical education, and health promotion.

The School offers a thesis-based Master’s program (MA and MSc) and thesis-based Doctoral program (PhD) to approximately 65 full-time students each year. All graduate students receive their degree in Kinesiology and Health Studies.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

General Requirements

  • A complete application must include official, up-to-date transcripts for all current and previous study the applicant has listed in the Academic Background section of the application.
  • Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English or French translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript.
  • For applicants to research programs, two current academic recommendations are required from professors under whom the applicant has recently studied. 
  • Two Professional letters of recommendation can be submitted in support of applications to professional graduate programs. 
  • Proficiency in English is a prerequisite for admission
