- Applications from foreign students are welcome. English is the primary language of instruction at the University of Alberta and all applicants must be proficient in English. Applicants with degrees/qualification in a language other than English need to demonstrate English language proficiency.
- For admission to the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, international students whose language of instruction was not English in their undergraduate or previous graduate program must also present a test score on one of the following English language proficiency exams with their application documents.
