Overview

The department offers Masters and PhD training in ophthalmology in three laboratories of the scientists/clinician-scientists in the Department Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and provide opportunities for clinicians interested in fellowships.

Applications from foreign students are welcome. English is the primary language of instruction at the University of Alberta and all applicants must be proficient in English. Applicants with degrees/qualification in a language other than English need to demonstrate English language proficiency.

For admission to the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, international students whose language of instruction was not English in their undergraduate or previous graduate program must also present a test score on one of the following English language proficiency exams with their application documents.
