Overview
The Ecology programme offered by the University of Bremen is multidisciplinary and contains many innovative elements such as a mentoring programme, integrated skills courses, supporting online material, scientific projects, and individual research training.
Research in the area of “Marine Ecosystems” encompasses the bioscientific components of Bremen’s excellent high-profile area of marine research; Marine Ecology is therefore one of the elements of the Master's Programme MSc Ecology.
Career opportunities
The Master of Science Ecology will provide you with a broad ecological background and will train you to become a critically thinking scientist. On the one hand you will get extensive research experience qualifying you for PhD studies and an academic career but further more the acquired scientific, technical and communication skills will also open a wide range of additional opportunities. During the programme, you will become familiar with many techniques and approaches including field experiments, analysis of animal behaviour, mathematical modelling, sustainability research, advanced statistics and modern genetic methods.
