The Civil - Structural Engineering program at Engineering Institute of Technology addresses the specific core competencies and associated underpinning knowledge required of structural engineers. This course offers twelve units and a project thesis to provide the knowledge and skills required to become competent and confident engineers.

The aim of the Civil - Structural Engineering program at Engineering Institute of Technology is to equip the student with a multitude of tools and techniques, including those that tackle specific organizational problems and also those required to design and implement engineering structures.

Practical Exercises and Remote Laboratories

You will participate in laboratory practical assignments using a combination of local laboratories and remote/virtual and simulation software, to ensure you receive the requisite hands-on experience. 

The hardware equipment connected to most of the computers, both industrial and educational, allow you to perform the real implementation of engineering activities by interfacing the computers, software, and simulators to real-world hardware.

  • a recognized 3-year bachelor degree in an engineering qualification in a congruent field of practice
  • an EIT Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree in a congruent field of practice.
  • a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering qualification (or equivalent), that is recognized under the Washington Accord or Engineers Australia, in a congruent, or a different field of practice at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.
  • a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering qualification (or equivalent) that is not recognized under the Washington Accord, in a congruent field of practice to this program.
