The International Relations from LUMSA University produces highly-qualified professionals who can: plan and implement highly complex operational strategies; communicate fluently in two foreign languages and apply them in economic, legal, historical and political contexts, taking into account the language used in each sector and its specific terminology. 


The International Relations from LUMSA University, which is highly multidisciplinary, is divided into two profiles: Politics and international governance , oriented to the major issues of governance also decisive for operating in the more classical national sphere, and Languages ​​for international relations , which deepens the study of two European languages ​​and the related historical-cultural contexts. 

Diplomatic occupational and professional opportunities (initial grade through public competition); officials at international or national bodies and institutions; management and management activities in private companies (particularly those operating on international markets); professionals and experts in international relations working in newsrooms, press offices, public relations agencies , think tanks, solidarity associations and national and international non-governmental bodies. 

The course has an agreement with the Affaires et Négociation Internationales course of the Master in Langues Etrangères Appliquées of the Université de Lille (Sciences Humaines et Sociales) for the release of a double title.

General Requirements

  • The entrance visa for study purposes issued by the competent Italian Diplomatic authorities
  • Certified true copy of the final academic qualification achieved, which entitles the student to have access to the following level of academic education. Duly legalized by the Italian Diplomatic Authorities in the country of reference, provided with consular legalization, the Dichiarazione di valore in loco and with an official translation into Italian;
  • Transcript of exams issued by the competent University – approved by the Italian Diplomatic Authority in the country of reference  – with the name of each passed exams and the detailed syllabi of each course attended, required to achieve the final title in question;
