
Overview
In the master's programme Global Finance at the CBS International Business School , you will acquire in-depth specialist knowledge of the financial sector, language skills in English as the language of instruction and another language, as well as the competence to lead a team. Your university education will focus on seminars on "Business Economics", "International Investment" and "Values Based Management". Starting in the second semester, key topics such as "Advanced Financial Accounting" and "Empirical Analytics for Finance" will be added.
During your studies, you will also make company contacts in our practice-oriented teaching content, such as our Business Project, and an 8-week internship in Germany or abroad. You can write your master's thesis in the fourth semester within the framework of a project with a practice partner or at one of over 120 partner universities. The exact contents can be found in the study plan.
Internship & semester abroad
The master's programme is completed by an internship of at least 8 weeks during the lecture-free period, which master's students can complete in a national or international company. If you wish, you can write your master's thesis as a project in a company of your choice in the fourth semester. Alternatively, you can also spend this last semester abroad at one of over 120 partner universities worldwide and write your master's thesis there.

With a master's degree in "Global Finance", you will have access to management positions in the world of finance in:

Accreditation
In addition to state recognition and institutional accreditation by the German Science Council, the study programmes of the CBS International Business School are regularly checked by the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) for content, topicality and feasibility of study.

General requirements
The admission requirements for our CBS Master programmes are a first academic qualification with a minimum of 180 ECTS-Credits of a recognised university with a final grade of at least “good”.

- Proof of your study achievements to date (official academic transcript of records) and if already applicable the certificate of your first academic degree (e.g. Bachelor)
- Letter of motivation: 1-2 DIN A4 pages which answers the following question: “How do you view your vocational future after your studies at CBS?”
- Copy of your passport (and residence permit, if available)
- Proof of English proficiency (if English is not your native language).

- The fees for one month amount to 895 Euro (EU Students/ Cologne Campus) or 1,305 Euro (Non-EU Students/ Cologne Campus).
- In addition, a one-off registration fee of 600 euros is charged.
Funding
Non-EU Students Scholarship
All highly motivated non-EU applicants are given the opportunity to receive a scholarship, if they fulfill certain requirements.
EU Students Scholarship
This scholarship is designed exclusively for new international students (Bachelor, Master and MBA) who intend to study at CBS International Business School. Each year, CBS awards scholarships in order to reduce the tuition fees for talented foreign students. Qualified students will receive a 50% scholarship off the total tuition fee.
