Overview
The Master of Advanced Engineering from Monash University prepares you for work in the engineering industry at the highest levels. It provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enable you to deal effectively with advanced issues involving the application of engineering in various domains.
Choose from two streams
Industry
- The Master of Advanced Engineering Industry experience stream sets itself apart by providing opportunities for you to undertake Industry Experience (IE) program or an alternate unit as prescribed by the faculty. Further to this it provides units focused on the leadership and management of projects in complex systems.
Research
- The Master's Thesis Research stream is designed for students considering research or academia as a career pathway. Whilst it contains a number of core units designed to develop your specialist engineering skills, it also allows you to complete a master thesis, focusing on a project aligned to your specialisation.

- A four-year Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to the specialisation to be studied within the master's course, as approved by the Faculty, with at least high credit (65%) average.
