Consumers, applications and businesses are generating an ever-growing amount of data that are hard to manage, yet these data are very important in today’s competitive business environment. Companies that know what type of data to collect and how to use the data in order to develop successful management strategies are and will be ahead of the game.

This difficult task can only be solved by experts with proficient technological knowledge who know how to collect, store, analyse and visualise the relevant data. Not only do they need to be big data experts, they also need to understand how businesses and their decision-making processes work in order to implement successful business strategies and tactics.

During our new Master’s programme our students learn how to analyse critical data, get to know the latest technologies and technological trends and know how to apply their knowledge to real business cases.

After learning some of the foundations in computer science, students focus on data analysis methods, big data technologies and machine learning applications. Case studies on Artificial Intelligence, projects with real industry partners, a profiling semester as well as an internship guarantee that “Big Data and AI” students receive both a theoretical and hands-on education that helps them build their soft, intercultural and communication skills.

Due to the high demand in the job market for people with data science and business skills as well as experience in the industry, graduates of the Bachelor of Science programme are sought-after specialists with many career opportunities in Germany and abroad.
