Overview

London Metropolitan University is proud to have been one of the first universities in the UK to develop this ground-breaking degree. Sports Therapy MSc answers the growing demand for professionals with sports-specific knowledge by equipping you with the tools necessary to become a professional sports therapist.

This MSc focuses on developing your ability to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate sports injuries or dysfunction. It includes the development of practical, patient-handling and clinical decision-making skills.

The University has a long history of teaching sports science and therapy courses and an excellent record of graduate employment in these fields. 

After the course

Many of our graduates work with professional, semi-professional and amateur sporting institutions. These include football, rugby, ice hockey and basketball teams as well as professional cyclists.

Roles have also been plentiful in other areas of private practice, such as sports therapy and rehabilitation services within health and leisure centres. You’ll also have the option to pursue further research.
