About

Sports Therapy of London Metropolitan University answers the growing demand for professionals with sports-specific knowledge by equipping you with the tools necessary to become a professional sports therapist.

This MSc focuses on developing your ability to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate sports injuries or dysfunction. It includes the development of practical, patient-handling and clinical decision-making skills.

Our University has a long history of teaching sports science and therapy courses and an excellent record of graduate employment in these fields. 

After the course

Many of our graduates work with professional, semi-professional and amateur sporting institutions. These include football, rugby, ice hockey and basketball teams as well as professional cyclists.

Roles have also been plentiful in other areas of private practice, such as sports therapy and rehabilitation services within health and leisure centres. You’ll also have the option to pursue further research.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Lower Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
