Career

The graduate of the Visual Informatics Program at Masaryk University  will find application in various fields, such as the development of graphics applications, simulators, computer games, applications for multimedia processing and analysis, visualization of data, virtual and enhanced reality or creation of professional-level graphic design.

 For example, a graduate may be an analyst, graphic designer, application programmer, research or development team leader. 

The acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills allow him / her to thoroughly understand the problems solved and will make it possible in practice to use a wide range of modern technologies - from common mobile devices to dedicated systems with high computing power.

General requirements

  • An applicant submits the online application, including required annexes and pays application fee.
  • An applicant will successfully pass entrance exams OR is entrance exams waiver.
  • An applicant will complete his/her bachelor study

Waiver

  • Bachelor degree (at least, another Master degree is also welcome) from an accredited university including at least three full years of academic study (a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related field with an excellent or near-excellent performance, this shall be documented by at least one of the following means:
  •  study average grade B or better on the ECTS scale,
  •  GPA 3.0 or higher, for a 4-point GPA,
  •  GPA 4.0 or higher, for a 5-point GPA,
  •  study average 2.0 or lower on the 1-4 scale,
  •  percentile 75 or higher, based on evaluation of all students in the previous programme.
