Overview
The graduate will also gain deeper knowledge in of the chose specializations of the programme. Specialization "Hardware systems" will lead to acquiring practical skills for design, implementation, analysis, testing and operations of embedded systems. Specialization "Software systems" will lead the graduate to knowledge and skills necessary in all stages of development and changes in extensive software systems, especially information systems. Emphasis is set on knowledge necessary at the design and development of systems with on deployed modern software technologies.
Specialization "Information security" will prepare the graduate to work in development and management of systems supporting security operations, with the ability to thoughtfully select and apply methods supporting particular security functionality in computer systems. Specialization "Computer networks and communications" targets architectures, principles of operations of computer networks and applications, work with multimedia data, basic knowledge in the area of parallel systems.
Career opportunities
Graduate of the Computer Systems, Communication and Security programme from Masaryk University will be prepared to design and maintain operations of secure computes systems with respect to both hardware and software aspects, including network communications. Graduate in the specialization "Hardware systems" will be prepared to design solutions of practical problems with the use of computer hardware, to creatively adjust hardware systems and to deploy them. Graduate in the specialization "Software systems" will be ready to take various roles in the IT departments taking part in the development and operations of information systems and in the use of IT for support of organizations.
Graduates of the specialization "Information security" will be able to work in organizations developing or providing systems respecting security requirements, but also in advanced management and operations of such systems. Graduate on the specialization "Computer networks and communications" will be able to work as an architect of large networks, manage network operations and related projects, or to work as an expert in applications or security of computer networks.

General requirements
Bachelor´s degree (at least another Master´s degree is also welcome) from an accredited university, including at least three full years of academic study (a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent) in Computer Science or closely related field with an excellent or near-excellent performance, this shall be documented by at least one of the following means:
- study average grade B or better on the ECTS scale,
- GPA 3.0 or higher, for a 4-point GPA,
- GPA 4.0 or higher, for a 5-point GPA,
- study average 2.0 or lower on the 1-4 scale,
- percentile 75 or higher, based on evaluation of all students in the previous programme.
