In today’s fast-paced world of technological change, people might have a hard time finding a steady and rewarding job. The only way to keep up with the changing market and achieve professional and financial success is to become an expert in the field that will remain relevant for decades to come. Digital control systems will certainly continue to play a significant role in the global economy for many years ahead. Digital systems are widely used in home and industrial automation, cars, mechatronics, and robotics, etc.
The Digital Control Systems Master's program at ITMO University:
develops an understanding of modern trends and challenges in the field of digital control systems and the ability to solve various research and applied tasks using a wide range of methods and approaches;
provides students with an in-depth knowledge of digital control theory and algorithms;
trains students to use the latest information technologies in digital control systems design;
gives insights into global achievements in the field of digital control systems; prepares students for research at the world’s leading institutions, companies, and agencies;
helps students improve their teamwork and communication skills;
trains qualified researchers and university lecturers ready to participate in R&D projects, as well as share their knowledge with students.
The students will:
create a scientific and technological foundation for digital control systems aimed at facilitating analysis, transfer, and processing of information in modern technologies;
learn to develop new methods, mathematical models, and digital control algorithms;
acquire an in-depth knowledge of digital control;
learn to apply information technologies in their work.
Students of the program are taught to manage fundamental and applied control problems concerning the creation of qualitatively new control algorithms, as well as use these algorithms to create complex control systems. Skilled professionals in digital control systems and digital systems analysis are in high demand on the market. Graduates can work as engineers, developers and researchers at companies in this sector or research centers on robotics and modern digital technologies.
