Overview
In the first year at University of Regensburg called 'Vertiefungsphase' (consolidation phase) you will take
- Subject modules: Lectures on special topics of Physics according to your interest. You may choose between subjects in experimental and theoretical physics:
- Complementary lectures
- Other courses
Second Year
The second year is termed 'Forschungsphase' (scientific phase). During the first half of this period, you will gain deeper insight into a special field of scientific work of the faculty (see list above) by working at a chair, studying original up-to-date publications, and discussing selected topics with your supervisor and your colleagues. And you are expected to give a presentation or talk ("Specialization") to end this first half. In the final half of this period, you will work on your Master thesis.

- Nonlinearity in Classical and Quantum Physics
