Overview
The M.Sc. in Biotherapeutics at University College Dublin provides students with a comprehensive education in the discovery and development of protein-based drug candidates. This advanced curriculum bridges the gap between pre-clinical modelling and the industrial bioprocessing required for modern medicine. Participants explore the entire pipeline, from initial target identification to the final characterisation of antibodies.
The programme integrates systems biology and proteomics-based discovery with mathematical modelling and bioinformatics. Students also examine the regulatory frameworks and commercialisation strategies essential for bringing new biotherapeutics to market. A significant portion of the degree is dedicated to a six-month laboratory project, offering immersive experience in a professional research setting.
Why Biotherapeutics at University College Dublin?
