With Architectural Engineering , you can use your growing knowledge of engineering by optimizing and integrating it within the holistic design processes, which will define the future’s sustainable building architecture.

You will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with both Danish and international companies - either as part of the courses, as an individual project or while writing your thesis.

The MSc is a two-year graduate programme with a workload of 120 ECTS credit points.

Specializations

The wide selection of technological specialsation courses at the degree in Architectural Engineering from Technical University of Denmark (DTU)   gives the individual student the opportunity to make a very distinct and personal profile. General requirements

  • Applicants for admission to the MSc-programme in Architectural Engineering should hold a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A bachelor including mathematics, physics, civil- and architectural engineering is a prerequisite.
  • A year's full time study at DTU amounts to 60 ECTS points. The MSc Eng programme builds on a bachelor curriculum with the following content of natural sciences and architectural engineering:
  • Mathematics, 20-25 ECTS points
  • Physics, 10 ECTS points
  • Specific basics of civil and architecural engineering should be covered by the curriculum of the applicant's bachelor degree. A working knowledge at bachelor level of the following two subjects is prerequisite for the general competencies of the MSc-program:
  • Civil engineering design experience by the practice of creating holistic-oriented building design projects
  • Abillity to express conceptural thinking in sketches and drawings
