Overview
Urban Design (without Thesis) from Eastern Mediterranean University deals with the design and construction of cities, part of cities and or urban elements, while providing necessary inputs to different designers to help them design under a common language within the framework of larger pieces of urban land, the development of which is spread over time. It aims to give knowledge about the use of administrative, legal and fiscal tools with reference to real world situation.

Graduates of the Department of Architecture find opportunities for work in public or private institutions, or work as freelance architects. Some get into the type of work concerning a wide range of functions from designing shop-windows or fair stands, to more implementation oriented work in construction firms. Others take up post-graduate studies either at EMU and universities in Turkey, or other universities in Europe or the US and pursue academic work successfully.

- Candidates for admission to the Master of Urban Design Program should have a B.Arch. degree in architecture or in a relevant related discipline.
- A curriculum vitae (CV),
- Reference Letter(s),
- A Copy of the last Diploma,
- A letter of Intention / proposal (in which the field and reasons of study of the candidates are clearly stated.)
- An official transcript of all university-level courses taken. A comparative mark/grade table if CGPA on the transcript is not out of 4.00.
- Documentation of scores received for English and academic proficiency exams/tests.
- A photocopy of your passport or I.D. card
- Two passport-sized (approx. 6 cm x 5 cm) photographs.
- Candidates are required to submit a document of financial guarantee showing that sufficient funds are available for tuition and living expenses.
