Key Features
The first intake of 20 medical students was admitted in June 2003 and they graduated in April 2008. The number of student intake has grown over the years. By 2011, the faculty has grown impressively and our current number of student intake is around 250 per year.
In the beginning, the faculty of Medicine administration office was established temporarily on the 20th floor, Tower 1, Science and Technology building in the Shah Alam campus. Shah Alam is the main UiTM campus.
It is a well established institution with good infrastructure, easy access roads and public transport.
The faculty managed to secure a few more floors sharing within the Engineering Complex, which consist of dissection hall, anatomy resource centre, computer and multidisciplinary laboratories.
The faculty then acquired another several acres of land in proximity to Hospital Sungai Buloh to build the main campus. Sungai Buloh campus was completed in 2012 and all the administrative and academic staff has moved from Shah Alam to Sungai Buloh.
Teaching and classes of the pre-clinical as well as the clinical years then commenced at Sungai Buloh campus. Apart from the teaching facilities, the faculty also developed its own clinical services. In the beginning, The Specialist Clinic in Selayang Campus open to the public.
After that The Clinical Training Centre (CTC) then commenced its clinic as well as other in patient services for the communities in Sungai Buloh. In 2016 it was formalized into UiTM Medical Specialist Centre (PPUiTM).
The specialist centres offer services in cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation medicine, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology and primary care services.

- A Bachelor Degree with Honours from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the University Senate; or
- Other qualification equivalent to a first degree recognised by the University Senate in a relevant field with related experience, and
- Other requirements as specified by the faculty. (Please refer to the respective faculty’s admission requirements)
