Doctor of Medicine in Pathology is a three-year postgraduation course. Pathology is the precise study and diagnosis of disease. Pathology is the only discipline that can be classified as both a basic and clinical science. The curriculum provides an indispensable bridge between the basic science and the clinical relevance and application of this information.

The Pathology program from Amrita University includes comprehensive training in many areas of both the basic and clinical sciences as they relate to pathologic mechanisms. The candidates with a MBBS degree from a recognized institute, who have registered permanently with the medical council of India or any other State Medical Councils, are eligible for this course.

After the course, the students acquired the competence pertaining to basic instrumentation and procedures required for the practice of Pathology in the community and at all levels of health care system.
