The Mechanical Engineering programme at University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf builds on a solid foundation in mechanics, which is the fundamental discipline of mechanical engineering.

Through the electives in a variety of thematic fields, students are given the opportunity to grow and develop according to their own individual interests. A solid foundation in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering combined with the wide choice of electives enables the development of an individual and interdisciplinary profile. Together with a strong research focus, this is what forms this program's innovative nucleus.

The Mechanical Engineering program at University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf is entirely in English. The English-language program empowers students to work in their professional careers at international and global level without any language barriers. It is also an important component in the setting up of international double degree programs which are planned for the future in the framework of this program.

Students acquire fundamental and methodical skills in a broad range of mechanics topics. They master modern simulation tools in these fields and have a solid grounding in measurement technology which allows them to specialize in this field in the course of their later careers. Depending on their individual interests, this can also be used as a broadening of the subject spectrum in other areas, such as energy engineering or industrial engineering.
