In the Master of Science in Aviation at FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences you will learn about different aspects of aircraft construction with a focus on the application of fibre-composite and hybrid materials.
You will apply your knowledge of the various different materials used in aircraft construction to lightweight construction and manufacturability of the complete aircraft. This subject area is rounded off with a course on the topic of certification and approval. On completion of this key subject area, you will be in the position to apply your technical knowledge directly at an aircraft or system manufacturer.
We provide you with in-depth knowledge of the complex systems that have become indispensable for today’s aircraft. This ranges from jet engines and combustion engines to avionics and flight control systems. Key elements include data buses, computer systems and flight control systems, which process sensor data and calculate control commands for electro-hydraulic or electro-mechanical actuators. You will learn about all the necessary systems and elements as well as their detailed functions.
