Overview

The Chemistry program offered by The University of the West Indies helps students gain knowledge in the field by presenting their up to date research or a research topic arising out of the research. Candidates will field questions put to them afterwards. When possible, the audience should also include the candidate’s supervisor and thesis supervisory committee members.

Careers

A graduate of any science undergraduate program in the biological, chemical or environmental sciences who is seeking to advance their career in research or increase their knowledge in a singular topic or field.

Persons graduating from the research degree programmes go on to careers in research, education (primary, secondary and tertiary), laboratory jobs (public and private sector), quality assurance, the legal fraternity and several other possibilities both within and outside of the Caribbean region.

Research proposal- 2-3 pages, outlining the area of research, the problem being investigated, the reason you wish to research this area, and the proposed methodology.
