With the study program Petroleum Engineering, it is the only institute in Germany that trains specifically for the fields of drilling and production technology, reservoir engineering as well as natural gas transport and distribution. This consecutive degree program is divided into a Bachelor's and a Master's program. The Master's program is internationally oriented and is therefore offered in English - as already the lectures in the Bachelor's degree program.

General Requirements

Master Petroleum Engineering is building up a consecutive study program at the Bachelor Energy and Raw Materials (focus on Petroleum Engineering). An alternative requirement for admission is a bachelor's degree with a specialization in petroleum engineering from a recognized (specialized) university or an equivalent qualification as well as good English language skills. In the absence of equivalence, a conditional approval is possible.
