The application of statistics in each one of these areas requires, nowadays, a vigorous training, that enables professionals to have an important role in these areas.

Taking into account the existing areas of social needs where Statistics can be applied, this course at University of Minho intends to prepare professionals to integrate into the labour market as experts in several areas.

These can be: large associations, professional consultancies, banks and insurance companies, organization of social communication, health institutions, government entities and local government, universities and big industrial companies.
