Overview
We offer a master degree in Human Rights at University of Minho. The Masters Course in Human Rights is designed to offer students a solid and interdisciplinary training in the field of human rights protection, by providing a broad theoretical and normative framework, both at international (global and regional) and domestic levels. The study plan includes mandatory courses on the foundations and meaning of international human rights law and on the different frameworks for human rights protection (UN, CoE, EU, AU, etc.) and domestic legal frameworks for fundamental rights protection. The study plan also includes a range of optional courses covering topical subjects of Human Rights Law, such as migration and asylum, Bioethics, cultural diversity and minority rights, International Humanitarian Law, conflict prevention and peacekeeping.
