The Master's program offers a higher level of qualification and prepares for fields of work in which strong analytical and conceptual skills are required, such as in industrial research and development, in the cadre or in the project management, or in the sciences.

Programme Structure

The master is the second degree. The master's program requires a bachelor's degree and comprises a total of 90 credits (CP). One credit point (CP) ECTS equals approximately 30 working hours. The master program Computer Science is a so-called monostudy course without further subjects.

The Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Basel enables direct admission to the Master's degree program in the same discipline. Other domestic university degrees are recognized at the request of the faculty teaching commission to the Rectorate, foreign at the request of the Dean's Office or the Examination Board of the Phil.
