Overview

The Materials Science programme at the University of Moratuwa is conducted part-time, enabling students to continue their career while gaining further knowledge and qualify cations.

Key Features

Teaching is carried out by well-experienced staff together with academics from other universities and institutions. Visiting lecturers from the industry are also invited to teach industrial related modules.

All lectures, practical sessions, presentations, industrial visits and examinations will be conducted during weekends.

This programme consists of a combination of compulsory modules and elective modules and a research project. The project is only available for studies towards M.Sc. Its main objective is to provide training in techniques that re essential for research and development work and problem solving in the industry.

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Moratuwa
OR any other four-year degree in engineering, science, or technology in a relevant field from a recognized university
OR any three-year degree in engineering, science, or technology in a relevant field from a recognized university, AND a minimum of one year of relevant experience
OR recognized membership of a professional institution (obtained through an academic route), plus at least one year of relevant experience after obtaining membership
