Overview
The German Studies programme from University of Namibia is offered on a full time and part time basis, face to face, evening timetable and the duration is: Full time: Minimum two (2) years; maximum three (3) years. Part time: Minimum two (2) years; maximum five (5) years.
Curriculum
The MA consists of two parts. In the first year, students will complete their academic coursework studies and examinations. In the second year, students write a research thesis.

General requirements
- To qualify for admission to the MA (German Studies) programme by coursework plus thesis, a candidate must be in possession of a relevant honours degree or postgraduate diploma recognised at NQF level 8 with a minimum average of 60%.
- Radiological Report
- Deed of Surety Form
- Medical Certificate (original)
- Two (2) Passport size photos
- Admission letter from UNAM
- Proof of Registration from UNAM
- Proof of accommodation in Namibia
- Completed main application form and visa form
- Police Clearance from home country (compulsory)
- Reasons for studying in Namibia (write one paragraph)
- Proof of medical aid/ insurance (valid and active)*.
