The M.Sc. Robotic Systems Engineering (RoboSys) at the RWTH Aachen University addresses specifically the purposes of the practicing mechanical engineer. Within one programme you can choose between two study tracks: “academic track” or “industrial track” to fit your personal interest and career planning best.
Robotic technology and cyber-physical systems are widely applied in different ways, such as industrial machines, automobiles, (micro)-electric industries, as well as aerospace and air transport industries. The M.Sc. RoboSys programme features two main themes:
1) The optimal application of robots
2) The development and construction of new robotic systems.
Bridging gaps between engineering disciplines, this Master’s degree programme offers students a unique learning environment and a multidisciplinary education that will enable them to develop innovative and intelligent robotic solutions and systems with the aim to meet today's most pressing global challenges: industrial productivity, energy efficiency, environmental responsibility, health care issues, and mobility services.
The International Academy's Career Services offer an extensive array of consultations, trainings, events and networking opportunities for students of the M.Sc. degree programs at RWTH International Academy. It’s our goal to support our students with their career entry in Germany and provide them with valuable contacts.
All master programmes offered in cooperation with the faculty of mechanical engineering of RWTH Aachen University and RWTH International Academy have been accreditated by ASIIN. This accreditation agency for degree programmes sets standards for programmes in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics, and teaching qualification.
Graduates will be qualified to work in a multitude of professional areas: in traditional manufacturing companies, e.g. in the mobility and energy sector, in logistics and distribution firms and in construction or financial institutions. With their broad knowledge in manufacturing, automation, design, production, and management, CAE specialists are well equipped to perform interdisciplinary work.
Always verify the dates on the programme website.
The M.Sc. Robotic Systems Engineering (RoboSys) at the RWTH Aachen is tailored for robotic specialists and provides an outstanding education at the interface between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer sciences.
You only need to take one of these language tests:
Minimum required score:
The TOEFL iBT ® measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The test has four sections (reading, listening, speaking, and writing), each with a score range of 0-30, for a total score range of 0-120. Read more about TOEFL iBT ®.Schedule TOEFL®
Minimum required score:
The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks. Read more about TOEFL®PBT.Schedule TOEFL®
Minimum required score:
The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.Schedule IELTS
This programme does not recognise GRE® scores.
The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
At least 1 year(s) of work experience are required.
Practical professional experience of at least one year is required. This can be completed as practical training or work experience in relevant areas during or after the first recognised university degree. Students may get admitted to the programme on the condition that insufficient periods of professional experience will be compensated during the four semesters of the programme.
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
