The Applied Computer Science program offered by the Østfold University College provides the opportunity to specialise in machine learning, interaction design, cyber-physical systems or information systems.

Why choose the program?

Half of the program consists of lectures and project based work, and the other half entails independent work on a thesis paper. In your master thesis you will specialize on a topic and work on an exciting project together with our researchers and collaborators.

In the beginning of the program, the emphasis is placed on scientific theory, methods and critical thinking. In addition, you will learn how to design technical solutions for people with different needs.

Furthermore, you can choose among the following elective courses:

    Academic Requirements

    A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent education of at least 180 ECTS credits:

    • and in addition or included at least 80 ECTS credits in informatics, 
    • and in addition or included at least 20 ECTS credits in programming

    To be admitted, the applicant must have an average grade from the qualifying education of at least C.

    Applicants from countries outside the EU/EEA must submit proof of funding when submitting their application.
