Programme Structure

The programme of study comprises three stages as follows:

Stage I in the first year of study comprising:

• basic training in Radiological Medical Physics, Radiological Anatomy and Radiography, Radiological Technique, Contrast Media and Drugs, Basic Trauma Radiology
• training in cognate subjects of radiology
• the keeping of a log book by the candidate to document radiological procedures performed by him.

Stage II in the second and third year of study comprising:

• training in all aspects of diagnostic radiology, imaging techniques and interventional radiology;
• training in cognate subjects
• the keeping of a log book by the candidate
• the commencement of a research project.

Stage III in the fourth year of study comprising:

• advanced training in all aspects of diagnostic radiology, imaging techniques and interventional radiology;
• advanced training in cognate subjects
• case studies; and
• a research project.
