  • A Bachelor’s degree with Honours or a comparable degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology or in a field related to the study of software engineering; or 
  • A Bachelor’s degree with Honours or a comparable degree whereby courses in software engineering were included in the programme of study; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree with Honours or a comparable degree with work experience of at least three (3) years in a profession related to software development; or
  • A Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Malaya or a postgraduate diploma in the field of Computer Science or Information Technology from another accredited institution; or
  • Other qualifications approved by the University Senate.
